Now hiring: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Schuyler County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Day-to-day duties: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block 3+ years on the tools preferred.
