Vacancy available: offshore rigger (Scotland)

Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Glasgow City, Scotland. You will be based at a power plant. Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. £1,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
