Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Marin County, California. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Performance bonus on top of base pay.
