Fire and safety officer — Sumner County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Sumner County, Kansas. The job is at a manufacturing plant. The role involves ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot 4+ years on the tools preferred.
