Immediate opening: we are hiring an estate gardener in Halifax County, North Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
