Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Capitol Planning Region

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut. Day to day you will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
