Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Charleston County, South Carolina. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits.
