Furnace operator wanted in LaSalle Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in LaSalle Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand 4+ years on the tools preferred. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
