Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Stafford County, Kansas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls Rotating shifts.
