Garment machinist • Valencia County, New Mexico

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Valencia County, New Mexico. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
