Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Hinsdale County, Colorado. The job is at a wholesale meat market. Day to day you will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; season and marinate meat on request; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Full-time, day shift.
