Immediate opening: fire and safety officer (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska. The job is on a high-rise building project. You will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites Full-time with occasional weekends.
