Metal caster wanted in La Plata County

Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in La Plata County, Colorado. Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding We offer $29 per hour plus benefits.
