Ladle pourer • Blaine County, Montana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Blaine County, Montana. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Six days a week, one day off.
