Aluminium tig welder wanted in Cattaraugus County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Cattaraugus County, New York. You will be based on an industrial construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $11,750 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
