Immediate opening: GTAW welder (Indiana)

Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Hendricks County, Indiana. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
