Steam press operator • Carroll County, Maryland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steam press operator in Carroll County, Maryland. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
