CO2 welder wanted in Ingham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Ingham County, Michigan. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator Pay around $2,600 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
