Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Warren County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
