Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Bowie County, Texas. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing On a typical shift you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $19 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
