Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in County of Ceredigion, Wales. Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 5+ years on the tools preferred.
