Safety officer wanted in Mid Ulster

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate 2+ years on the tools preferred.
