Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Humboldt County, Iowa. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Able to grind and set HSS cutters Your main tasks: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
