Formwork carpenter wanted in Kenai Peninsula Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You should have: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Day-to-day duties: • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
