Backhoe loader operator • City of Colonial Heights, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in City of Colonial Heights, Virginia. You will work at a stone quarry. You should have: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination The role involves: • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
