Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Clinton County, Illinois. The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Part-time with flexible hours.
