Paint and prep technician • Clinton County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in Clinton County, Illinois. You will be based in a car refinishing workshop. On the job you will handle: • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting Ideal candidate: • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Able to read and match factory paint codes • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns 5+ years on the tools preferred.
