The role involves fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile. You should have: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
