Gtaw welder — Fermanagh and Omagh

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Fermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around £3,500 per project, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
