Fire and safety officer • Morris County, New Jersey

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Morris County, New Jersey. You will be based at a busy construction site. You will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training 1+ years on the tools preferred.
