Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Thomas County, Georgia. The job is on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Part-time with flexible hours.
