Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Barnwell County, South Carolina. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity 6+ years on the tools preferred.
