Brick and block layer • Putnam County, West Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Putnam County, West Virginia. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day The role involves: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience.
