Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Seneca County, New York. The job is in a chemical processing unit. What we are looking for: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day-to-day duties: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
