Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Jersey County, Illinois. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area 5+ years on the tools preferred.
