Semi-automatic welder wanted in Whiteside County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Whiteside County, Illinois. You will work at an automobile body shop. You will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
