Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Goochland County, Virginia. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
