Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Owen County, Indiana. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots Six days a week, one day off.
