Vacancy available: we are hiring an acoustic insulation fitter in Johnson County, Texas. The job is on flat roofs and terraces. Requirements: • Willing to travel between sites • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Proven experience in thermal insulation and waterproofing On a typical shift you will wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding; work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks; install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape; seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant; lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding.
