Gas service engineer — Chambers County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Chambers County, Alabama. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites On a typical shift you will locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
