Great opportunity: bakery assistant (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Highland County, Virginia. You will work in a hotel pastry kitchen. Requirements: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to work early-morning and night shifts The role involves: • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Score the top of loaves before baking • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
