Ladle pourer wanted in Lunenburg County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Lunenburg County, Virginia. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
