Great opportunity: reinforcement steel fixer (Alaska)

Join our team: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Six days a week, one day off.
