Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
