Hydraulic press operator — South Lanarkshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hydraulic press operator in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The job is on the press shop floor. Day-to-day duties: • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area Ideal candidate: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
