Great opportunity: furnace operator (California)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Sutter County, California. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards You will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
