Great opportunity: trowel-trade bricklayer (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Keweenaw County, Michigan. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
