Concrete shuttering carpenter — East Baton Rouge Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The role involves: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
