Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Schuyler County, Missouri. The job is at a busy machine shop. Ideal candidate: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred The role involves check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; load and index turning tools in the turret; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear.
