Cement mason wanted in Matanuska-Susitna Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. The role involves cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
